Bullsmoor Lane A10

Due to extensive water penetration of the retaining walls causing widespread failure of the ceramic tiling Rhinoceros Ltd were awarded this contract to completely refurbish this subway. Ceramic tiling and render was removed back to the original poured concrete walls. These were repaired and re-rendered with a waterproof sharp sand cement mix using Sika Nr 1 Waterproofer. Parapets were left in place and repainted. The rendered walls were primed with Sigmacover Primer and finished with PSX700 in a series of differently coloured panels. Manhole covers, handrails and cycle barriers were renewed.

Waterproof Render using Sika 1 Waterproofer. Stainless Steel Mesh to ensure excellent adhesion to concrete wall. 6mm GRP stair nosings supplied by Suregrip Ltd. Sigmacover Primer and PSX 700 in colours to walls. Sigmadur 550 Blue 18 E 51 to parapets. DDA compliant handrails and cycle barriers supplied by Alpha Rail Ltd.
