Bricklayers Arms Overpass

Nesting pigeons caused added complications to the cleaning and degreasing of bearings for the Bricklayers Arms overpass in London SE1.  The RHINOCEROS team had to remove old grease, open drainage channels and clean the supports for maintenance, including exposing and treating corroded rebar within the concrete pillars.  The job was completed for main contractor Ringway in May 2011.

Corrosion and blocked drainage channels, thanks largely to the pigeons

Cleaned, corroded rebar and concrete repaired and all coated for future protection
